Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Test Engineer with strong project management expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in software testing and a proven ability to manage testing initiatives from planning through execution. This dual-role position requires hands-on QA experience combined with the ability to oversee projects, coordinate teams, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software functionality, performance, and security
• Identify, document, and report bugs; work closely with development teams to resolve issues
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define quality standards
• Analyse QA metrics to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in the testing process

Project Management Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage QA project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables
• Define project scope, goals, and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure that testing milestones and quality targets are met
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies
• Lead status meetings, create project reports, and provide clear communication to stakeholders
• Ensure that QA initiatives align with broader product development and release plans
• Champion process improvement initiatives and drive the implementation of best practices
• Manage documentation, test environments, schedules, and compliance with project requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance (manual and automated testing)
• Proven experience in managing QA/testing projects or working in a project management capacity
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Selenium)
• Solid understanding of agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban)
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Project management certification (PMP, CSM, or equivalent) is a plus
