Position: QA Engineer

Location: Mohali, Punjab • Employment Type: Full‑time • Experience: 1–3 years

We are a service-based IT firm in Mohali, delivering high-quality e‑commerce solutions specializing in Shopify for clients around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review functional and non-functional requirements to craft detailed test plans and test cases.
• Execute comprehensive testing: functional, regression, usability, integration, performance, and security across web and mobile platforms.
• Perform manual, exploratory, and automated testing using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Log and track defects in Jira (or equivalent), working directly with developers to resolve issues.
• Conduct regression testing to verify resolved defects and prevent new ones from appearing.
• Validate Shopify store functionality including product listings, shopping cart, checkout workflows, themes, and third-party app integrations.
• Prepare clear test reports and summaries for the development team and project stakeholders.
• Stay updated on Shopify features, new e‑commerce trends, and QA best practices.
• Optionally, support the build-out or enhancement of an automation framework and CI/CD testing pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in QA/testing, ideally with exposure to e‑commerce or Shopify projects.
• Strong grasp of QA methodologies and proven ability to design effective test plans and test cases.
• Experience in manual testing and familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Skilled in defect-tracking tools like Jira and test management environments.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail, particularly in bug identification and reporting.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and exposure to CI/CD would be a plus.
• Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration with developers, project managers, and clients.

Certifications & Nice-to-Haves:

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is preferred.
• Hands-on experience testing Shopify themes, APIs, and integrations with third-party apps.
• Familiarity with performance, security, or accessibility testing tools and practices.
