QA Engineering Manager

As a leader in the QA domain, you will be responsible for overseeing both manual and automated testing activities across ETL pipelines, UI, and databases. Your primary role will involve managing a team of QA professionals while collaborating with various global teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing testing best practices, developing quality strategy documentation, and integrating with CI/CD tools. You will lead and supervise a QA team of at least 4 members, overseeing testing activities related to ETL workflows, UI elements, databases, and end-to-end testing processes. Your responsibilities will include analyzing requirements, creating comprehensive test cases and test data, and validating ETL workflows and transformation logic using advanced SQL queries. Furthermore, you will be expected to develop and maintain automation scripts using BDD frameworks like Gherkin/Behave and Pytest in Python. Integration of automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck will also fall under your purview. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and managing documentation including Test Strategy, BRDs, Defect Reports, and more. Collaboration with DevOps, SRE, developers, and stakeholders will be a key aspect of your role, where you will drive coordination and alignment between various teams. Providing testing metrics and proposing improvement plans to senior leadership will also be a crucial part of your responsibilities. To excel in this position, you must possess a total of 9-12 years of QA experience with at least 6 years dedicated to ETL/UI/DB testing. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium v3+, Playwright, and Python. Proficiency in SQL queries, particularly in Snowflake/Postgres, along with experience in AWS or other cloud platforms, is essential. Moreover, your proven leadership skills in managing a QA team of at least 2 members, familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are prerequisites for this role. Exposure to tools like DBT, Informatica, or MS Power BI, domain knowledge in Healthcare/Life Sciences, and willingness to collaborate with international teams are considered advantageous. In terms of education, a degree in BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.E./M.Tech will be required to qualify for this leadership QA role.,
