Job Description Summary: You will have 7+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in automating tests and 1+ years in delivering quality Test Automation frameworks at speed, be a champion of automation best practice and increasing the Aptia Test Automation coverage for the project @ large

You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, detail orientated and possess a broad set of technology skills.

Job Description:

Things you will do:

Help define, refine and Implement Test automation best practices and champion the value of optimal test automation
Develop and implement automation frameworks, scripts and associated data suites using appropriate technologies, tools and scripting languages / techniques
Actively promote easily testable code and contribute to driving maximum test coverage across the delivery teams
Collaborate with the engineering teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline
Drive short, accurate feedback loops with development teams
Provide concise defect reports with appropriate prioritization from impact to test perspective
Collaborate with Product Owners, to refine and prioritize internal work items on the backlog and provide accurate effort estimates for in-sprint automation

and ongoing maintenance effort

What you will bring:

Passion for software quality, shift left and shortening of feedback loops
Excellent understanding of software QA, best practices and test automation tools with an emphasis on framework design and implementation
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automated testing
Experience of TDD [test driven development]
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps
Experience of cloud environments and building, deploying and testing on these platforms
Experience with non-functional test techniques
Good technical and non-technical communications skills
Experience of working as part of a Scrum team, driving in sprint test development and exploratory testing
Eagerness to adapt and evolve

Technical Skills Required:

At least 5+ years demonstrable experience building automation suites and associated data suites for a wide variety of applications including web,

mobile and cloud-based applications

Demonstrable proficiency with a wide variety of languages and frameworks including Cucumber, JavaScript, Selenium, WebDriverI.io and TestNG,

Cypress, Playwright, TestComplete

Experience integrating with platforms such as ADO, Jira, Jenkins and GitHub
