Python Test Engineer

Role Overview: As a Test Engineer 1 at Hyland Software, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software and products. Your responsibilities will include writing code/scripts, designing test plans, executing tests, contributing to automated test frameworks, and collaborating with other engineering groups to maintain the holistic quality of the software. You will also be involved in performance testing, troubleshooting production issues, and participating in formal reviews of software products. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the stability and efficiency of the application. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain integration, functional, and non-functional tests - Lead system functionality verification through automated and manual tests - Contribute to the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation and security - Create test cases and test plans for manual testing - Participate in peer code reviews for test automation code - Verify performance and scalability of the system - Actively engage in planning work, estimation, solution demos, and reviews - Provide troubleshooting support for production and software issues - Comply with corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience - 2+ years of experience in software testing - Knowledge of test lifecycle phases, testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks - Experience with test automation using Python and Jenkins - Familiarity with documenting standards, practice guidelines, and test design - Proficiency in using source control systems and scripting tools - Experience with Windows/Linux platforms, build environments, and delivery pipelines - Knowledge of programming or scripting, database technologies (Oracle, MS SQL Server), and Agile frameworks - Strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills - Collaborative, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative mindset - Self-motivated, ability to work independently and in a team, thrive in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail, drive for learning, and staying current professionally - Up to 5% travel required Additional Company Details: Hyland Software values employee engagement and offers various benefits and programs to support its workforce.
