About the Role

Python Backend Developer

scalable backend systems

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain

  scalable backend systems

  using

  Python

  and

  Node.js

  .
• Design and implement

  RESTful APIs

  for high-performance and secure applications.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate

  AI and agentic AI

  capabilities into products.
• Work with

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  for deployment, scaling, and monitoring of backend services.
• Maintain database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in

  code reviews, architecture discussions, and system design decisions

  .
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability of services.
• Document processes, write clean, testable code, and follow industry best practices.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years

  of backend development experience.

• Bachelor’s degree

  in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in

  Python

  with a deep understanding of

  core programming concepts

  .
• Proficiency in

  Node.js

  with strong backend architecture knowledge.
• Proven experience with

  RESTful API development and integration

  .
• Hands-on experience working with microservices,

  AI and agentic AI frameworks

  .
• Cloud deployment experience with

  GCP

  (Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore).
• Excellent

  written and verbal communication skills

  .

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Frontend exposure with

  React.js, Next.js, Angular, or GraphQL

  .
• Experience working in

  startup culture

  and agile environments.

• Databases:

  PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Firestore

• DevOps tools:

  Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines

• Version control & collaboration:

  Git, GitHub, GitLab

• Testing frameworks:

  PyTest, Jest, Mocha

• Messaging/streaming:

  Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub

• Security best practices

  in backend services
