Purchasing Specialist

Role Overview: You will be responsible for assisting in the development and release of standardized manufacturing documentation, such as workmanship standards, work instructions, drawings, and BOMs. Additionally, you will coordinate with suppliers, develop new suppliers, and conduct audits. Your role will also involve handling knowledge of imports, shipment terms, customs clearance, local vendor management, material ordering, and tracking. Understanding engineering drawings, Oracle systems, and bill of materials will be crucial for this position. You will need to adhere to established manufacturing procedures, provide support for plant-to-plant product transfers, and contribute to new product development programs. Supporting Vertiv manufacturing operations using various tools and tracking/reporting project status will also be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will play a key role in advance material planning processes and coordinate cross-plant problem-solving teams to enhance operating performance and meet business objectives.
