Job Summary: The Purchase Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials, components, equipment, and services necessary for manufacturing operations. This role involves supplier negotiations, purchase order management, cost control, and coordination with internal departments to ensure uninterrupted production flow. Key Responsibilities: Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, machinery, and services. Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any delivery or quality issues. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels. Coordinate with production, planning, and inventory teams to forecast needs. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Stay updated on market trends, supply chain risks, and alternative sourcing options. Job Description Tank Up Engineers Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Head to lead and oversee our automotive and defense manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fabrication and automobile manufacturing, with a proven ability to solve complex production challenges and deliver results. With extensive on-ground experience, the Plant Head will ensure seamless plant functioning, while driving initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. ______________ Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Align plant operations with organizational goals, ensuring performance metrics are met across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations including production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet output and quality benchmarks. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process optimization initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve cycle times. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality systems and all applicable defence and automotive standards. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Maintain strict compliance with workplace safety, environmental norms, and statutory regulations. Vendor & Supplier Management: Lead sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely, quality material procurement and cost control. Problem Solving & Crisis Management: Take proactive action to resolve production bottlenecks, manpower issues, or quality concerns to prevent disruptions. Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous learning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred. Minimum 10 years in manufacturing with 5 years in leadership roles. Strong background in fabrication and automobile industry. Demonstrated track record of achieving results in a dynamic environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead high-performing teams. Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards.
