Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing software assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with procurement policies,

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily requests in the SAM Tool.
• Coordinate with License Coordinators, License Managers, and Procurement Buyers for verification, renewals, and optimization.
• Follow customer procurement policies and ensure correct system access and documentation.
• Handle requests via systems or vendors and conduct initial vendor negotiations, including clarifying terms with procurement when needed.
• Provide early-stage advisory support and implement standardized procedures for software purchase requisitions (PRs), ensuring proper references to requests/contract numbers.
• Oversee the full software entitlement lifecyclefrom requirement gathering to acquisition, renewal, or termination.
• Conduct quarterly renewal reviews and align with providers on documentation and termination processes.
• Use ServiceNow SAM Pro for tracking, management, and stakeholder notifications.

Preferred candidate profile

• Background in Technology Licensing or Services
• Prior experience in a Purchasing, Procurement, Customer Success, Sales operations, or similar role
• Understands the processes of quote and order management, onboarding a client and after sales.
• Experienced in IT Service Management or Service Delivery
• Experience working with enterprise customers
• Experience building and maintaining relationships
• Strong presentation, communication, organization, multitasking, project and time management skills.
