As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for understanding manufacturing processes and materials used in manufacturing. Your role will involve researching and evaluating vendors to compare pricing and services, selecting and negotiating contracts with vendors for prices and timelines. You will also manage supplier relations, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely fulfillment of orders. Maintaining the supplier database, creating new vendors, purchase records, and related documentation will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will be expected to evaluate vendors based on product quality, timeliness, and price, handle PR/PO processes, documentation, and maintain strong follow-up with suppliers/vendors. Ensuring the quality of procured items and addressing problems promptly is crucial. You may also need to conduct on-site assessments at vendor locations to maintain quality standards.
