Job Title: Purchase Officer

Location: Kochi, Kerala

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, coordinate with vendors, monitor stock levels, and ensure smooth flow of materials across branches. The ideal candidate should have strong coordination skills, a sense of ownership, and willingness to travel when required.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Coordination & Procurement

Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of materials.

Follow up on purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pricing details.

Negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.

Inventory & Stock Management

Coordinate closely with the Warehouse Team for stock updates and material availability.

Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.

Identify Fore Seal shortages and take immediate action to avoid delays.

Track and manage dead stock, ensuring liquidation and optimal stock rotation.

Quality & Damage Control

Identify damaged products at the earliest and ensure quick reporting and clearance.

Coordinate with suppliers for replacement/claims when required.

Coordination & Reporting

Maintain accurate purchase records, stock reports, and vendor communication logs.

Prepare periodic reports on procurement status, shortages, and inventory movement.

Collaborate with internal departments such as Warehouse, Sales, Projects, and Accounts for seamless operations.

Travel Requirement

Willingness to travel to our branches for supplier visits, stock checks, and branch coordination as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Inventory Management (preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in the same field

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Good negotiation ability and vendor management experience.

Basic knowledge of MS Office / ERP systems is an added advantage.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Willing to travel for work-related requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
