JD for Senior Purchase Engineer position

Department: Procurement/Purchasing

Reporting To: AVP, Operations

Type: Full-Time

Location – Hyderabad, India (occasional travel to Sri City, Andhra Pradesh required)

Experience & Skill:

 5-8 years of hands-on experience in capital equipment procurement, particularly factory utilities, CNC machinery, and consumables in the manufacturing sector. Max work experience: 12 to 15 years.

 Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

 Proven experience in managing the RFQ process and supplier selection independently.  Strong experience in negotiations and cost optimization.

 Familiarity with import/export of CNC Machineries for international shipments.

 Expertise in Excel and data presentation. Proficient in English (verbal and written), with clear communication skills.

 Dynamic, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating agility in decision-making, effective time management, and continuous improvement to drive procurement success.

Key Responsibilities:

 Independently manage the end-to-end procurement of capital equipment, including CNC machines and factory utilities, for our greenfield manufacturing.

 Handle the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process by preparing, issuing, and evaluating RFQs for capital equipment, consumables, and factory utilities.

 Select suppliers based on technical capabilities, cost-effectiveness, delivery timelines, and compliance with industry standards.

 Negotiate directly with suppliers for favorable terms and competitive pricing.  Conduct independent evaluations of suppliers to ensure they meet technical, quality, and delivery standards.

 Independently manage import/export clearance processes, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations.

 Manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Pay: Up to ₹1,600,000.00 per year
