About Us

CMGA is a fast-growing industrial and FMCG company in West Africa, with operations in beverages, plastics, and agro-industry. To support our expansion, we are hiring a Purchase Manager – Raw Materials & Commodities to oversee sourcing, supplier management, and procurement of key raw materials.

Experience in PET resin, HDPE, and other plastics is highly desirable, along with exposure to FMCG procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement of raw materials (PET resin, HDPE, packaging materials, chemicals, etc.) and FMCG-related goods.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships locally and internationally.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms to ensure cost efficiency.
• Monitor global commodity markets and ensure timely availability of raw materials.
• Manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and legal regulations.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align supply with demand.
• Identify and onboard reliable new suppliers to expand sourcing options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in procurement or purchasing management.
• Background in plastics/raw material procurement (PET, HDPE, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with procurement of general FMCG goods.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong knowledge of international trade, import/export procedures, and logistics.
• Fluent in English (mandatory). Basic French is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
