Job Description

As a Purchase / Procurement Manager, your role involves implementing procurement and vendor development systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. You will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, and evaluating their suitability based on predefined criteria. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing procurement and vendor management strategies to drive efficiency and cost savings. You will lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and contracts and ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical sourcing practices. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, will be essential to align procurement activities with business goals. You will monitor market trends, supplier performance, and risk factors affecting procurement decisions and optimize inventory management and procurement processes using data-driven insights. Leading and mentoring the procurement team to foster a culture of continuous improvement will also be part of your role. Managing supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations, and issue resolution, is crucial. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly. Analyzing inventory levels, demand forecasts, and consumption patterns to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs will be part of your responsibilities. Continuous evaluation and improvement of procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements, are also expected. Preparing and presenting reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings to higher management will be necessary. Implementing sustainable and socially responsible strategic sourcing practices, including supporting local suppliers and promoting ethical sourcing, is vital. Staying updated on regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to sourcing activities are also part of your role. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. - Proven experience in procurement and vendor management. - Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. - Knowledge of inventory management principles and procurement best practices. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to sourcing activities. This job is full-time, with benefits including Provident Fund. The work location is in person during day shifts.,
