Purchase Manager Old School Rituals (Natural Skincare & Haircare)

Were looking for a Purchase Manager who can handle end-to-end procurement for raw materials, packaging, and vendor development. The role needs strong manufacturing exposure, negotiation skills, and experience working with D2C brands.

Key Responsibilities

Source raw materials, actives, fragrances, and ingredients for skincare/haircare.

Manage packaging sourcing (jars, bottles, pumps, cartons, labels, etc.).

Develop and maintain vendor base — India + overseas (China, Italy, Korea).

Use platforms like Alibaba/1688 for vendor discovery and RFQs.

Negotiate MOQs, pricing, payment terms, and reduce landed costs.

Track lead times, ensure material availability, and manage inventory levels.

Support NPD teams with material trials and approvals.

Maintain purchase records, supplier scorecards, and documentation.

Requirements

Preferred candidate profile

5+ years in procurement with a manufacturing-focused brand.

Experience in skincare, cosmetics, personal care, FMCG, F&B, or similar sectors.

Strong exposure to raw material + packaging sourcing.

Comfortable dealing with international suppliers and imports.

Good understanding of D2C procurement dynamics.

Strong negotiation, vendor management, and Excel skills.
