Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ensure on-time procurement of materials aligned with production and inventory plans.
Monitor material requirement forecasts and convert them into actionable purchase orders.
Coordinate closely with production, planning, avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
Identify and resolve supply bottlenecks, delays, or quality issues with vendors.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure responsiveness and reliability.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to optimize cost and lead time.
Track and report procurement KPIs including OTIF (On-Time In-Full), lead times, and supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100), import regulations, and internal controls.
Incorporate LEAN concepts in purchasing
Strong knowledge of regional MHR / costing structure of suppliers.
Well versed with purchasing activities required for Indirect, services etc.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred MBA in SCM & Operations
Proven experience in aerospace or defense procurement.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical
Strong command of SAP or similar ERP systems.
Familiarity with import documentation, BOE filing, and logistics coordination.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
