Purchase Manager

Roles & responsibilities:

1.End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee the complete procurement process for electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, ensuring adherence to company policies and AS9100D standards. JOB DESCRIPTION

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, finance, and legal teams to gather requirements, resolve procurement issues, and support business objectives.

3. Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors; regularly assess supplier performance and ensure compliance with aerospace quality and safety standards.

4. Contract Negotiation & Risk Management: Lead contract negotiations, optimize procurement costs, and incorporate risk-based thinking to mitigate supply chain risks as required by AS9100D.

5. Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Stay updated on GST, customs, and other regulatory requirements, ensuring all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and standards.

6. Invoice & Payment Processing: Verify and process invoices, coordinate with finance for timely payments, and resolve discrepancies or vendor payment issues.

7. Import/Export & Customs Coordination: Monitor exchange rates, manage customs compliance, and facilitate smooth import/export operations.

8. Technical Stores & Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, ensure traceability, and implement controls to prevent counterfeit parts and maintain product safety.

9. Delivery, Packaging & Logistics: Track order progress, coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for on-time delivery, and ensure packaging meets company and industry standards.

10. Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Maintain thorough procurement and inventory documentation, support audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and stores functions.
