Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement:

• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of quality materials while optimizing costs.

• Category Management:

• Reliefline:

  Tarpaulin, mosquito nets, and related materials.

• Solar Products:

  Inverters, batteries, solar panels, and accessories.

• PVC:

  Raw materials and finished PVC products.

• Sheet Metal:

  Sheet metal and fabricated components.

• Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Leverage strong vendor/supplier connections for competitive advantage.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve the best value.
• Maintain vendor performance records and build long-term relationships.

• Cost Control & Budgeting:

• Track market trends to ensure competitive pricing.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor purchase budgets.

• Inventory & Coordination:

• Coordinate with stores, logistics, and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

• Documentation & Compliance:

• Oversee purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

• Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the procurement team.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align purchasing activities with organizational goals.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of multi-product procurement (industrial, solar, PVC, relief materials).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Strong vendor and supplier network.
• Strategic, analytical thinking with problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Ability to lead and guide teams effectively.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce (MBA preferred).

• 8–12 years of experience

  in procurement, including

  3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role

  .
• Experience handling multiple product categories is essential.
