Purchase Logistics Manager

As a Procurement Manager/Purchase Manager at Pyramid Eats Food Processing Plant located in Kesari, Ambala, your main responsibility will be to oversee the procurement process for the Frozen Food/Ready-to-Eat Products industry. With a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the frozen food sector, you will play a crucial role in the success of our company. Your key responsibilities will include identifying, evaluating, selecting, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers such as farms, co-packers, distributors, and service providers based on quality, cost, reliability, sustainability, and food safety standards. You will work closely on product costing to ensure profitability and pricing accuracy, as well as maintain detailed item sheets with information on ingredients, cost, packaging, and specifications. It will be your duty to control product costs by monitoring purchase prices, optimizing vendor selection, and negotiating with suppliers to obtain competitive rates without compromising quality. Keeping accurate records of purchases, price history, and vendor performance will be essential for effective procurement management. You will also need to collaborate with the production, accounts, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations and timely procurement to avoid any production delays. Moreover, part of your role will involve identifying, assessing, and mitigating supply chain risks such as single-source dependency, geopolitical instability, weather impacts on agriculture, contamination risks, and transportation disruptions. Your qualifications should include a degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Food Technology, along with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a frozen food or RTE (Ready-to-Eat) product environment. To excel in this position, you should possess strong negotiation, communication, and documentation skills, as well as knowledge of food safety standards, costing, and vendor management. Proficiency in Excel, Tally, or ERP systems will be beneficial for carrying out your responsibilities effectively.,
