Purchase Intern

As a Purchase Intern at our company located in Dhokla, you will be an integral part of the Procurement/Supply Chain department, reporting directly to the Purchase Manager/Procurement Head for a duration of 3 to 6 months. Your role will involve assisting in various procurement tasks and gaining valuable hands-on experience in supply chain operations, vendor management, and purchasing activities. This internship presents a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic and fast-paced business environment, giving you insights into essential procurement processes. Your responsibilities will include sourcing suppliers, collecting quotations, creating purchase orders, and requisitions, as well as updating vendor records and purchase documentation. You will collaborate with internal departments to assess purchasing needs, liaise with suppliers for order status updates, compare prices and specifications, and participate in inventory checks and reconciliation tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining data in procurement systems, assisting in report generation, and contributing to procurement analysis. To excel in this role, you should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. Attention to detail, organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and the ability to communicate effectively and negotiate are essential. A willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team setting will be key to your success. During your internship, you will gain valuable insights into real-world procurement processes, vendor management, negotiation techniques, compliance requirements, and documentation standards in purchasing.
