Purchase Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for building materials such as tiles, timber, hardware, adhesives, accessories, and consumables.

• Obtain quotations, compare pricing, negotiate terms, and finalize purchase orders.

• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply and quality.

Material Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Installation, and Sales teams to understand material requirements.

• Ensure timely procurement based on production plans, site needs, and project schedules.

• Monitor inventory levels and avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure materials procured meet Homegenie quality standards and technical specifications.

• Coordinate with Quality and Stores teams for material inspection and approvals.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Cost Control & Documentation

• Track purchase costs and support cost optimization initiatives.

• Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor documents, and price lists in ERP systems.

• Prepare purchase reports, vendor performance reports, and MIS as required.

Cross-Functional Support

• Support installation and site teams by ensuring material availability as per timelines.

• Assist in resolving vendor issues related to quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies.

• Coordinate with Accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.
