Public/Government Affairs - Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager Public Affairs at our company based in Mumbai, you will be responsible for leading regional stakeholder engagement, with a key focus on the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Your role will be crucial in ensuring compliance, managing advocacy, and safeguarding our brand reputation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Act as the primary liaison with FSSAI at all levels, establishing strong relationships, monitoring policy changes, and ensuring timely license renewals and modifications. - Provide support to Herbalife distributors regarding FSSAI licensing and compliance, managing thousands of interactions each month. - Oversee Consumer Affairs compliance and direct selling regulations at the state level. - Represent Herbalife in various trade bodies such as CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, local chambers, and industry forums. - Drive branding and visibility initiatives through chambers and associations. - Lead compliance projects, including FoSTaC training and 3P setup processes. - Prepare policy briefs, advocacy materials, and regulatory reports for senior leadership. **What You'll Bring:** - 8-10 years of experience in public affairs, regulatory liaison, or corporate affairs, preferably in FMCG, nutraceuticals, food, or healthcare sectors. - Strong network with FSSAI officials and in-depth knowledge of food safety laws and licensing. - Excellent communication, representation, and drafting skills for policy and regulatory submissions. - Confidence, professional presence, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally. - Understanding of direct selling rules and engagement with trade associations.
