Advisory Solutions Architect Job Purpose: What does an excellent Advisory Solutions Architect do? An Advisory Solutions Architect (Advisory SA) is responsible for creating solutions designs to meet business application needs. You will use a combination of shared services, repeatable reference designs, and company technology standards to create robust and secure designs that will feed into the design portion of application and product delivery. These designs will consist of a mix of hardware, virtualization, multiple operating systems and platforms, and application services. As part of the design cycle, you'll be a critical piece in requirements gathering and separating the business functions from technology functions of the design requests. You'll take part in on-site and virtual interviews and application design sessions to gather the information needed for the design, as well as provide feedback for possible application design changes. Details matter, and you must pay attention to every detail of everything you create or review. Once a design is created, you will be responsible for handing it over to the team that will be executing on the design. If there are questions that rise during the execution, you will be the first tier for providing architectural design support. You will be part of the Technology Design chain. This means that you will be mentoring others on the team to enable their career growth. There will also be opportunities for you to grow and expand inside that chain yourself. Basic qualifications for consideration: High School Diploma and 6+ years of relevant work experience(As Solution Architect) 3+ years of experience designing and building enterprise class distributed systems. 3+ years' experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated industries. 3+ years of indirect or direct technical leadership. Expert level skill in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint. Expert in collaboration with co-workers and subject matter experts that may be in remote locations. Highly organized and able to work multiple efforts simultaneously. Excellent written communication skills, including the use and creation of slide presentations and drawings. High level of public speaking skills, presenting designs to groups of peers and business unit leadership. Experience interacting with customers a to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document and lead solution requirements. Experience with .NET/Java development in private and public cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud). Experience in SDLC including associated deployment methodologies, QA processes, and performance tuning. Previous Infrastructure/System Engineering experience in heterogeneous environments. Advanced level technical skill in at least one of these: Windows, Linux, Storage, Networking and/or Security. Recent experience leading the technical design of high transaction volume distributed systems or other complex projects. Ability to travel up to 20% Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field Architect level certifications for Windows, Linux, Storage, Networking, or Security.
