Project Planning Manager

Role Overview: As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning of various construction projects. You will develop long-term plans and goals, analyze productivity trends, and ensure alignment with construction objectives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients will be essential for achieving project success. Key Responsibilities: - Knowledge in the understanding of stages of planning, i.e., pre-contract (Procurement) and post-contract stages. - Understanding of work methods of different packages including structural, finishes, and industrial structure. - Conversant with all packages of electrical and mechanical nature. - Working knowledge in MS Project/Primavera P6. - Review basic plan shared by the Client, validate with various work packages, and lead time required. - Prepare a baseline integrated plan for the overall project. - Review the L1 schedule proposed by various contractors/vendors during bid evaluation. - Review work packages and their ordering plan, escalate concerns if any, and conduct monthly meetings. - Review and freeze baseline L2 schedule of each work package contractor/vendor. - Review contractors" monthly plan, comment on the resource plan for alignment, and track baseline plan of each major vendor. - Organize monthly meetings and keep records of monthly project plan versus progress. - Flag concerns on slippages and support the digital champion on risk register. - Prepare monthly project report with support from other members. Qualifications & Preferred Skills: - Bachelors degree in civil engineering (masters degree is a plus). - Proven experience as a Project Planner in the construction of hospitals. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Projects, scheduling, and baseline reviews. - Extensive hands-on experience in Project Management & Contracts. - Proficiency in project management software and tools; PMP or similar project management certification is a plus. - Problem-solving orientation with the ability to make timely decisions and adapt to changing project dynamics.
