Project Manager – Capital Projects & Engineering Execution

Department: Projects & Engineering / Capital Projects

Reports To: Head of Projects / Engineering Director

Role Overview:

The Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end execution of capital engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Initiation:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.

• Execution & Monitoring:

• Lead cross-functional teams through the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.

• Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
• Coordinate with internal departments, external contractors, and vendors.
• Manage expectations and provide regular updates to senior management

• Quality Assurance & Reporting:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
• Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, including status updates and post-project evaluations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or a related field / MBA (Project Management).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

• Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in managing capital projects within engineering or construction sectors.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and standards in Rajasthan.
• Advanced degree in Project Management or Engineering.
