Project Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in factory setup, plant installation, and heavy machinery commissioning within the steel industry. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete project lifecycle for new factory setups, plant expansions, and machinery installation.
• Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for site execution.
• Review technical drawings, machine layouts, and engineering documents.
• Oversee installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of steel plant machinery.
• Handle vendor selection, negotiation, and procurement follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report to senior management.
• Manage contractors, site teams, and OEMs to meet project timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering (preferred).
• 5–12+ years of experience in factory/plant setup within the steel industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of steel manufacturing equipment (rolling mills, furnaces, cranes, utilities, etc.).
• Proven experience in machinery installation, erection, and commissioning.
• Good understanding of industrial safety practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar tools (preferred).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
