Job Description

The Project Manager (Civil) is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and completing civil construction projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and coordination with multiple stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare project plans, schedules, WBS, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate with consultants/architects for drawings, approvals, and technical clarifications.
  • Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.

2. Execution & Site Management

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of civil works as per design and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and construction procedures.
  • Monitor progress against schedule; initiate corrective actions to avoid delays.
  • Supervise site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.

3. Cost & Resource Management

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets.
  • Control material consumption, manpower deployment, and equipment usage.
  • Validate contractor bills, RA bills, and manage cost variations/claims.

4. Quality & Safety Assurance

  • Conduct regular quality checks for RCC, structural, finishing, and infrastructure works.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC plans and statutory regulations.
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks & safety audits.

5. Client, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with clients, authorities, and external agencies for approvals and inspections.
  • Manage vendors/subcontractors, evaluate performance, and resolve issues.
  • Conduct progress review meetings and prepare DPR/WPR/MPR.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project records, reports, drawings, and documentation.
  • Prepare project progress reports, cash flow statements, and MIS reports.
  • Ensure timely project handover and close-out documentation.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 8–15 years of experience in civil construction project management (experience range can be adjusted).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering, construction processes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve site challenges.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
