Stonemart Building Solutions, also known as Stonemart Cladding System, is a Chennai-based construction contractor specializing in high-quality natural stone finishes since 1994. The company provides a range of services, including stone dry cladding for facades, granite/marble flooring, and general interior/exterior civil works for commercial and residential properties. They are recognized for their expertise in architectural design, custom fabrication, and restoration services tailored to client needs. Stonemart has completed projects for notable clients such as L&T, Oracle India, and various hotel chains, focusing on durable and aesthetically pleasing stone applications.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager (Project Management Role) with a proven track record in comprehensive project management across multiple construction sites at the same time. This role demands an individual with 10-15+ years in the construction industry, responsible for ensuring all projects are executed flawlessly, within set timelines and budgets, and meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the building finishing works team, motivating them to achieve departmental and company objectives.

2. Project Management: Oversee multiple building finishing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are executed within the designated timeframe and budget.

3. Quality Control: Ensure that all building finishing works meet the highest standards of quality and adhere to relevant safety regulations.

4. Resource Management: Efficiently manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and cost-effectiveness.

5. Supplier and Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely and reliable delivery of building finishing materials.

6. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for building finishing projects, monitoring expenses to maintain profitability.

7. Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

8. Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless integration of building finishing works with other project aspects.

9. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the progress of building finishing projects, presenting them to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A Masters degree or additional qualifications in business management would be advantageous.
• At least 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry, with significant leadership experience in managing large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively to various project sites.
