Job Description – Construction Project Manager ( Tambaram to Chengalpattu )

Position: Construction Project Manager
Department: Projects
Location: Site / Head Office (as required)
Reporting to: Operations Head / Director

1. Role Overview

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering construction projects within the defined timelines, quality standards, and budget. The role ensures seamless coordination between site teams, suppliers, contractors, and management, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution

  • Prepare detailed project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure timely progress.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants for technical clarity.
  • Ensure all work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and codes.

Team & Site Management

  • Lead site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews.
  • Resolve site-related issues and delays promptly.
  • Ensure manpower planning and productivity at site.

Quality & Safety Control

  • Implement strict quality control measures throughout the project.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to maintain quality standards.

Material & Cost Management

  • Monitor material consumption, availability, and wastage control.
  • Verify contractor bills, site measurements, and BOQ.
  • Manage project budget and ensure cost efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, checklists, and site logs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
  • Ensure timely submission of GRNs, drawings, and purchase requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and address any variations or change requests.

3. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project planning and execution capability.
  • Sound knowledge of civil/interior construction processes.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, AutoCAD (preferred).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management.
  • 5–10 years of experience in construction project execution.
  • Proven track record in managing medium to large-scale projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
