Job
Description
As the Product Manager for Retention Marketing, you will be responsible for owning the product roadmap for retention marketing channels such as email, SMS, and push notifications. Your primary focus will be on driving customer engagement and repeat purchases. You will define, prioritize, and execute product initiatives aimed at improving user activation, with a specific emphasis on multi-category purchases within the first 60 days of a user's lifecycle. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Retention Marketing, Engineering, Data Science, and Creative teams to launch and iterate on personalized user journeys. You will also be tasked with building an in-house customer segmentation platform and refining user segmentation strategies to tailor retention tactics based on lifecycle stage, category affinity, and browsing history. Personalization plays a crucial role in retention marketing, and you will be responsible for driving personalization across various channels, including content, frequency, and channel personalization. Working closely with the Data Science team, you will build product recommendation models to drive cross-category purchases. In addition to strategy and execution, you will partner with analytics to establish KPIs and build dashboards for performance monitoring, cohort behavior analysis, and funnel drop-off diagnostics. A/B testing will be a regular practice to validate hypotheses around message timing, channel mix, and content personalization. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the Martech and CRM Engineering teams to identify tooling gaps, streamline campaign execution, and enhance targeting capabilities. Advocating for the customer, you will deeply understand user behavior across the post-purchase journey and identify friction points that hinder re-engagement. Staying abreast of best practices and emerging tools in retention marketing and eCommerce is essential. This knowledge will inform your product strategy and experimentation roadmap. Managing risks in execution and unblocking the team to reach goals will also be part of your responsibilities. **Requirements:** - 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in eCommerce, consumer tech, or a performance marketing-focused environment. - Strong empathy for users and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to translate user behavior and insights into product requirements. - Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-time-zone global iterative environments with cross-functional teams. - Strong analytical skills with experience using data tools like SQL, Looker, or Mixpanel to define metrics, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions. - Ownership mindset, accountability, and ability to move relevant metrics like activation rate, repeat rate, and LTV. - Proven track record of owning and shipping successful features or initiatives in Growth, Retention, CRM, or lifecycle marketing. - Preferred familiarity with modern marketing automation tools and CRM infrastructure. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to align stakeholders and articulate product decisions effectively. - Bonus points for experience with segmentation models, predictive triggers, or personalization/ML for retention initiatives.,
