Ashoka aims to leverage its brand, unique pedagogy, and best practices to build impactful programs for High School Students -both offline and online certificate programs. These include the Young Scholars Program (YSP), Ashoka Horizons, and many others.
Ashoka Young Scholars Program (YSP),
now in its ninth year, is already the most prestigious summer program for high school students in the country, attracting talented and motivated students to an enriching & immersive college experience, across its 5 programs in liberal arts, sciences, computer science, humanities and economics & entrepreneurship streams. The programme continues to expand at an exponential rate with more high schoolers applying from across the country each year.Ashoka Horizons
offers short-term, online, learning by doing (project-based learning), real-world and future-forward programmes to high schoolers across the country and abroad. Ashoka Horizons courses are specially designed for curious & motivated high schoolers, providing a deeper exploration of specific subjects, 21st century skills and other non-academic areas of interest. Ashoka Horizons are better prepared for college decisions, college applications and life beyond. Ashoka Horizons was launched in 2020 and has been growing exponentially since.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The position will lead the development & growth of the Young Scholars Programme, taking end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of programme development, student enrollments and programme delivery.
The role comes with the following responsibilities:
- Developing the annual plans, targets, and budgets in line with the institution's mission & goals and based on a rich understanding of school/ parent/ student needs & need-gaps.
- Identifying and building a strong network of leading faculty and industry expert session facilitators, both within Ashoka University and externally.
- Engaging & working closely with the ecosystem of high school educators, counsellors and faculty to develop high-quality, relevant & differentiated holistic programmes of the highest quality.
- Planning & leading the year-round outreach, marketing & communication efforts aimed at building awareness, interest and applications for the different programmes.
- Developing and managing the application to enrollment process, including application process, student-parent interactions, tracking, reporting & driving enrollments
- Meticulously planning and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, high-impact programmes focusing on the academic and overall parent-student experience.
- Completing the programme delivery with useful insights, feedback & analysis, while building a long-term relationship with counsellors, parents & students.
- Building, nurturing and managing a high-performance team and working collaboratively across Ashoka teams and external partners
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of full-time experience in similar custom programme development & programme lead roles with one of the leading Indian or International Universities or organisations offering in-person academic enrichment programmes for students, executive education programmes or fellowship programmes.
- Experienced team leader and people manager.
- Preference would be given to Ashoka/ YIF alumni.
- Only candidates with a strong career interest in Education and a strong educational background need to apply. Preference would be given to graduates/ post-graduates in Education from reputed institutes.
- Candidates with teaching experience and a degree in the field of education would be preferred.
