The District Program Lead will work to develop the district as a model for education change. In this role, you will manage small projects within the larger program and work closely with your team, the education department (DIETs, DEOs, DPOs), and the District Magistrate s office to implement education initiatives.
You will also contribute to improving and innovating program design and implementation methods. You will work alongside 1-2 other District Program Leads, whose projects together shape the district education reform program. With guidance and support from program leadership, you will help key stakeholders drive continuous, sustainable improvements in education.
Roles and Responsibilities
Program Design and Implementation
- Design and develop different resources for capacity building of diverse stakeholders (teachers, head teachers, School Complex Leaders, block leaders, district leaders).
- Work with DEO office and DIETs office to get them to issue necessary government letters towards effective implementation of the workstream goals.
- Strengthen Peer Learning Circles (PLCs) at the Block and school complex level by co-planning and facilitating orientation sessions with school complex heads and BEOs.
- Co-plan and conduct district-level celebration events with DIETs and district technical teams to recognize teacher efforts and share innovations.
Partnership and Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate regularly with district administration (DM, DEO, DPO) and Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) to plan and review activities.
- Build strong working relationships with district & block officials and academic institutions to ensure collective ownership of reforms.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Conduct a minimum of 15 school visits per month to observe classrooms, interact with teachers, Head teachers and track implementation fidelity.
- Monitor and track the impact of workshops and training, ensuring adherence to state protocols and quality standards.
- Collect, analyse, and synthesise field data into monthly and quarterly reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and impact stories.
- Share insights and evidence with district and block leaders to strengthen decision-making.
Strategic Planning and System Improvement
- Contribute to program innovation by piloting new approaches and sharing learnings with district, state and organisational leadership.
- Document impact stories so that they can reach a wider audience, inspire collective action, and motivate more stakeholders to strive for excellence
- Take up additional responsibilities as per evolving organisational priorities.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- A master s degree in education preferably, along with 2 years of experience leading educational design projects, especially in school leadership development, is preferred.
- Prior exposure to the education or consulting sector is preferred.
- Functional knowledge of G-Suite tools, Canva, and basic AI-based tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Hindi and English.
- Ability to negotiate and work effectively with government stakeholders.
- Must be able to travel within and outside the assigned districts when required.
