Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Business development and achieving business goals according to TUV India strategy for the respective Profit Center.
  • Responsible for the P & L of the Respective Profit Center.
  • Budget preparation for responsible Cluster in consultation with respective Cluster Head and CFO as per the broader guidelines and growth plan given by Managing Director.
  • Responsible for making proposal to the customers with help of respective Marketing Executive. Profit Center Head to consult Cluster Head for any proposal above Rs. 20 lacs. Risk assessment to be done in consultation with Cluster Head, Legal Advisor and CFO.
  • Profit Center Head to take lead for developing new services and/or proposal for new services. The proposal will be reviewed by Cluster Head & brought to Managing Director for final decision for go/no go.
  • Profit Center Head along with HR and in consultation with respective Cluster Head is responsible for recruitment of resources, experts and associates as per the need for their respective business segment. Managing Director will review the requirements and approve.
  • Profit Center Head to ensure adequate cash flow for the respective business segment and keep the outstanding below 45 days.
  • Profit Center Head to have monthly outstanding receivable review with HO / CFO and should be responsible for collection of outstanding for their product line.
  • Profit Center Head to ensure the pending order data is reviewed for their product line so as to have accurate information on orders in hand.
  • Profit Center Head to ensure proper MIS reporting for their products.
  • Shall be also responsible for quality requirements applicable for the relevant services
  • Shall be responsible to ensure compliance to all systems and procedures of TUV India and meet all the accreditation guidelines.
  • PC is responsible to ensure team building, competence building and enhancement and motivation of the employees assigned to them with necessary support from HR
  • Profit Center Head to recommend disciplinary action if needed against any employee and bring it to Cluster Head for further decision.
  • Profit Center Head is responsible for appraisal and promotion for their assigned employees of PC and submit to Cluster Head for his approval within time frame as set by HO.
  • Profit Center is responsible for overall process improvement from time to time as per the need of the organization.
  • PC Planning (costs, investments and personnel including necessary initial and further training measures)
  • Controlling the attainment of plan targets and initiation of measures in the case of deviations from plan.
  • Implementation of the processes specified in the company - especially those relating to orders in accordance with the Quality Management Manual or group regulations.
  • Communication of targets as well as the drawing up and implementation of measures to attain targets.
  • Planning and controlling of the necessary initial and further training of employees.
  • Regular active reporting to Cluster Head on special business matters, quality cases, customer relations and if necessary, on deviations from agreed targets and specifications.
  • Promotion of exchange of information within the group.
  • Responsible leadership and management of employees.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient operative processes (quality-compliant and schedule-complaint, cost-effective provision of services with consistent and evenly spread utilization of resources).
  • Ensuring attainment of plan targets in area of responsibility.
  • Well-instructed employees provided with the necessary tools and support.
  • Responsible leadership and management of employees according to the code of ethics and values of TNG and ensuring a working atmosphere that promotes productivity.
  • Communication of requisite information to own manager and own employees.
  • For Branch Administration related responsibility, PCH to follow the Branch Administration guideline circulated separately and interact with the respective assigned person for Branch administration responsibility
  • Ensuring proper implementation and surveillance for occupational safety, health and environmental, during work for the employees.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Good understanding of customers pain areas.
  • Experience in handling a large team.
  • Optimisation of shared resources.
  • Awareness about P & L statement.
  • Good Exposure to Inspection Services / QC
  • Soundness in technical documents like ITPs, NDE, material certificates, etc.
  • Positive thinker and Trouble shooter.

AUTHORITIES:

  • Power of instruction and authority over assigned employees related to organizational, disciplinary and professional.
  • Calling on support from superiors and internal service providers.
  • Selection of the method for instructing employees, quality assurance and communication.
  • Requesting necessary initial and further training for the management task.
  • Selection of employees to be recruited, taking account of the right of veto held by other persons involved in the recruitment process.
  • Granting permission for vacation and time off in lieu and issuing orders for

overtime.

  • Ensuring that services are provided in a way that meets the specified goals of the company with respect to economic efficiency, quality and profitable business growth.
