Job Description

Woxsen University, a premier institution known for its focus on academic excellence, applied learning, and industry integration, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Economics and Finance. We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished academician with a strong passion for teaching, a significant research profile, and a desire to contribute to a vibrant, world-class learning environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Teaching & Mentorship:

    Design and deliver engaging and rigorous courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in areas such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, Econometrics, and Investment Analysis. Mentor and guide students on academic progress, research projects, and career development.
  • Research & Publication:

    Conduct high-quality, impactful research in your area of expertise and publish in top-tier, peer-reviewed international journals (ABDC/Scopus/WoS listed). Actively seek research grants and collaborate on projects with industry and other academic institutions.
  • Curriculum Development:

    Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of the curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, contemporary, and aligned with global business trends and industry requirements.
  • Institutional Contribution:

    Participate actively in departmental and university-level committees, student admission processes, corporate outreach, and other institution-building activities. Foster collaborations with industry partners for internships, live projects, and placements.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Educational Background:

    A

    Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a closely related field

    from a reputable university (AACSB/EQUIS/AMBA accredited institution is highly desirable).
  • Research Record:

    A strong portfolio of publications in high-impact, refereed academic journals is essential. A proven track record of securing research funding and supervising doctoral students is a significant advantage.
  • Teaching Experience:

  • Professor:

    A minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience, with at least 5 years at the Associate Professor level, and a demonstrated record of academic leadership.
  • Associate Professor:

    A minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience with a strong publication record.
  • Assistant Professor:

    A Ph.D. with a clear research agenda and some teaching experience. Candidates who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis may also be considered.
