Professor fashion designing

Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Deliver lectures, studio sessions, workshops, and practical classes in fashion design and related subjects.
• Guide students in design projects, portfolio development, fashion illustration, garment construction, and pattern-making.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments as per university standards.
• Ensure use of innovative, industry-relevant teaching methodologies.

2. Research & Publications

• Conduct research in areas such as fashion innovation, sustainability, textiles, fashion technology, and design trends.
• Publish research papers in reputed journals, conferences, and exhibitions.
• Guide postgraduate and doctoral research scholars (if applicable).

3. Curriculum Development

• Design, update and review curriculum aligned with global fashion standards.
• Introduce courses related to current industry requirements (e.g., digital fashion, CAD, AI in fashion, sustainability).
• Participate in academic audits and NAAC/NBA/other accreditation processes.

4. Student Mentoring & Development

• Mentor students on academic performance, internships, projects, and career pathways.
• Support student participation in shows, competitions, exhibitions, and industry events.
• Guide final-year fashion collections and shows.

5. Industry Engagement

• Collaborate with fashion brands, designers, and industry partners for projects, internships, and placements.
• Organize guest lectures, live projects, field visits, and fashion shows.
• Build strong networks with industry experts and alumni.

6. Administrative & Departmental Duties

• Participate in department meetings, committees, and quality initiatives.
• Contribute to university events, admissions, exhibitions, and outreach programs.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and academic regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• PhD in Fashion Design / Fashion Technology / Design must
• Master’s degree (M.Des / M.F.A / M.F.Tech / equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Strong academic record with relevant industry and teaching experience.
• Proven portfolio of fashion work, exhibitions, shows, or research publications.
• Expertise in areas such as:
• Fashion Illustration
• CAD (Photoshop, Illustrator, CLO 3D)
• Garment Construction
• Pattern Making & Draping
• Textile Science
• Fashion Forecasting
• Sustainable Fashion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,636.88 - ₹50,000.00 per month
