Production Trainee

Job Title: Production Trainee Department: Production / Manufacturing Location: Pune Job Type: Full-Time | Trainee Position Qualification Required: ITI (Fitter, Electrician, Turner, Welder, Machinist, or any relevant trade) Experience: General   Job Summary: We are looking for energetic and disciplined ITI-qualified candidates to join our production team as Production Trainees. This role offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, where trainees will gain in-depth exposure to production processes, machine operations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate should be willing to learn, adapt to shop floor activities, and maintain high safety and quality standards.   Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and assist with various types of machines and equipment on the production floor. Follow daily work instructions given by supervisors and team leaders. Assist in manufacturing tasks such as assembly, material handling, and minor machine maintenance. Support manufacturing activities such as assembly, material handling, and basic machine maintenance. Perform basic quality checks and measurements on finished products to ensure standards are met. Learn and apply safety regulations, ensuring personal and team safety at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Attend training sessions and participate actively in all learning modules assigned during the trainee period. Report any faults, breakdowns, or production issues to the supervisor immediately.   Key Skills & Competencies: Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical equipment (based on trade). Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Good physical stamina and willingness to work in a manufacturing setup. Willingness to work in shifts and flexible hours when needed. Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset. Positive attitude, team spirit, and readiness to learn new things. Skill enhancement through internal training, including basics of vendor management and manufacturing coordination.   Eligibility Criteria: ITI pass in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Turner, Machinist, or equivalent. Diploma electrical, Mechanical. Freshers are welcome; prior experience in a production unit is a plus but not mandatory. Must be physically fit and medically cleared for shop floor work.   Training & Growth: Hands-on training on machinery and manufacturing operations. Exposure to lean manufacturing, quality control processes, and maintenance basics. Possibility of confirmation for a permanent role based on performance during training.
