Job Summary:

Production Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and support production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
• Perform

  root cause analysis

  and resolve application, database, and infrastructure issues.
• Write and optimize

  SQL queries

  , stored procedures, and scripts for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Develop

  Python scripts

  and automation tools to streamline repetitive operational tasks.
• Create and maintain

  shell/PowerShell scripts

  for deployment, monitoring, and log analysis.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and implement fixes.
• Participate in

  incident management

  ,

  processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to prevent downtime.
• Support release management and deployment activities in production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in

  SQL

  (query optimization, joins, indexing, stored procedures).
• Hands-on experience with

  Python

  for automation, data processing, and API integration.
• Proficiency in

  shell scripting

  (Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
• Familiarity with

  job scheduling tools

  (e.g., Cron, Control-M, Autosys).
• Experience with

  version control systems

  (Git, Bitbucket).
• Knowledge of

  CI/CD tools

  (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Understanding of

  Linux/Unix

  and

  Windows

  environments.
