Production Support Engineer

About the Role:

We are hiring a Production Support / Application Support Engineer to work with Fintech solutions. The role involves providing strong production support and application support in a fast-paced environment, primarily focused on resolving technical issues, maintaining application performance, and ensuring smooth business operations in the financial domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for applications in the Fintech / Banking / Financial / BFSI domain.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents in a timely manner.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to identify and fix application defects.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, data extraction, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation of routine tasks and data processing.
• Analyze logs, perform root cause analysis, and provide permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Ensure application performance, availability, and security are maintained as per SLA.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand functional requirements and support system enhancements.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in on-call support rotations and handle critical production issues during off-hours.
  

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Production Support / Application Support roles.
• Proficient in SQL for data analysis, report generation, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in Python scripting for automation and application support tasks.
• Prior experience in Fintech, Banking, Financial Services, or BFSI domain is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of application troubleshooting, system monitoring, and incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• BE / B.Tech / MCA (Only).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in production/application support.
• Lead experience in a production support environment is a plus.
