Job Description – Production Planning & Control (PPC) Engineer / Executive

Position: Production Planning & Control Engineer / Executive
Location: Ghaziabad (Sihani Chungi)

Reporting To: Production Head / Production Manager / Management
Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹32,000 per month (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans as per orders and priorities.
• Create job cards / work orders for Fabrication and Machining sections.
• Align manpower and machine capacity with delivery commitments.

2. Monitoring & Control

• Track Planned vs. Actual progress for each machine and supervisor.
• Identify bottlenecks (material shortages, machine downtime, manpower issues) and escalate promptly.
• Maintain updated Production Monitoring Sheets, Flowcharts, and Inventory records.

3. Material Coordination

• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and tools.
• Ensure jobs are not delayed due to missing materials.

4. Data Management & Reporting

• Update MIS sheets daily (Excel / ERP / Google Sheets).
• Share daily production status with Management by 6:00 PM.
• Maintain accuracy of BOM (Bill of Material), BOQ (Bill of Quantities), routing, and cycle times.

5. Cross-Department Coordination

• Work with Quality Assurance and Dispatch teams to ensure inspection and shipment readiness.
• Coordinate with Purchase for outsourced jobs when required.
• Follow up with supervisors to ensure adherence to schedules.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• On-Time Delivery % (Orders delivered as per commitment).
• Planned vs. Actual adherence (machine/supervisor level).
• WIP (Work in Progress) Accuracy % in reports/ERP.
• Material Availability % (jobs not delayed due to shortages).
• Escalation Effectiveness (issues highlighted before they cause delays).

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering.
• 3–7 years’ experience in Production Planning & Control in Fabrication / Machining-heavy industries (preferably SMEs, Cement Industry, or Steel Spare Parts sector).
• Strong knowledge of Drawing Reading, AutoCAD, BOM & BOQ preparation, and PPC processes.
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; ERP knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on the shop floor.
• Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
