Production Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee end-to-end production operations. The ideal candidate should be experienced in planning, managing shop floor activities, ensuring timely production with quality, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing resources to meet output targets within defined quality and cost parameters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily production planning and ensure timely execution of production schedules
• Monitor end-to-end production operations across the Delivery function.
• Allocate manpower and machine resources efficiently to maximize productivity
• Coordinate with the team and provide guidance to achieve targets while fostering a positive and supportive work environment
• Ensure product quality standards are met and rejections are minimized
• Maintain discipline, safety, and hygiene standards on the shop floor
• Track WIP (Work in Progress), downtime, and output reports to identify and resolve bottlenecks
• Implement cost control initiatives and optimize resource utilization
• Supervise maintenance of machinery and coordinate with engineering for breakdowns
• Lead a team of supervisors, line in-charges, and operators for smooth operations
• Maintain production documentation, reports, and MIS for management review

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of garment/textile manufacturing processes (woven, knits, embroidery, etc.)
• Expertise in production planning, line balancing, and industrial engineering
• Leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Proficiency in production-related software, Excel, and ERP systems
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Required Qualifications:

• Degree /Diploma in Textile Technology / Industrial Engineering
• Additional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Production Planning (preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication in English and regional language
• Willingness to work extended hours based on production needs
