Production Manager

Job Description

Production Planning & Scheduling Develop and execute production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer deadlines. Allocate resources (manpower, machinery, materials) for efficient workflow. Ensure minimal downtime and effective machine utilization. Operational Management Supervise and lead production teams across shifts. Ensure timely and cost-effective production without compromising on quality. Monitor KPIs such as production output, efficiency, yield, and wastage. Quality Assurance Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with quality control and R&D departments to resolve production issues. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for any quality deviations. Health, Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations. Conduct safety drills and ensure PPE use in production zones. Team Leadership Train, supervise, and evaluate production staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Conduct performance reviews and assist in staff development. Process Improvement Identify bottlenecks and implement process optimization techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Drive initiatives to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and minimize waste. Reporting & Documentation Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. Maintain accurate records of production data, machine logs, and inventory usage.
