Production Manager

Client:GDC -Aluminium Foundry

Location: Arasur-Coimbatore

Title: Production Manager

Exp: 10-15 yrs

Qualification: BE/Dip Mech/IE/PE

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and execute daily production activities to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.

Monitor production performance (OEE, yield, productivity, rejection, downtime, etc.) and implement corrective actions.

Optimize mould changeover, cycle time, and machine utilization.

Ensure smooth coordination between core making, melting, pouring, fettling, machining, and dispatch departments.

Ensure adherence to casting quality standards and process control parameters.

Implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for rejections or defects.

Coordinate with QA for process audits, calibration, and metallurgical testing.

Supervise and motivate production team members (operators, shift engineers, supervisors).

Conduct training programs on die casting techniques, safety, and process improvement.

Plan shift schedules and manpower allocation based on production load.

Coordinate with maintenance and tool room for die maintenance, furnace upkeep, and equipment preventive maintenance.

Ensure minimum downtime and proper maintenance of moulds, dies, and fixtures.

Control material consumption, melting losses, and energy utilization.

Monitor and reduce scrap, rework, and rejections.

Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, TPM).

Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.

Conduct regular safety audits and promote safe work practices.

Comply with statutory and ISO/IATF 16949 system requirements.

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Participate in management review meetings and customer audits.

Coordination with PPC, Stores, Maintenance, and Quality departments to ensure smooth operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
