About the Role To independently manage shift operations to achieve target output and drive continuous improvement activities with the team to achieve KPI. Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to: 1. Achieving production target for the shift as per plan. 2. Manpower allocation to workstation as per plan. 3. Maintaining quality standards as per prescribed SOP and Process Control Card on all workstations to ensure finished goods quality as per specifications. 4. Troubleshooting of technical process / equipment problems for smooth operation during the shift. 5. Continuous improvements in processes with available resources by small projects (Kaizen). 6. Analysing process applications and recommending process modifications to enhance operational efficiency. 7. Minimizing unproductive time to make sure products are produced on time. 8. Conducting wall to wall stock count as per schedule decided by department manager. 9. Coordinating with other functions to like SCM, Maintenance, Dispatch, HR as and when required during the shift to achieve timely production and delivery target. 10. Ensuring timely execution of activities related to new product development. 11. Keeping daily log of activities as per departmental procedure for reporting and traceability. Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed. Report safety related incidences to department manager. About You To be successful in this role you will have: D.M.E. with 5 to 6 years or B.E. (Mechanical or Production) with relevant experience Should have worked in a large batch assembly production environment running in 3 shifts. Knowledge of assembly processes involving machines and equipment, precision manual assemblies Exposure to hydraulics is preferred but not mandatory Should have handled shift operations independently with team size more than 20 Knowledge of ERP is desired Basic knowledge of operating computer and MS Word, Excel and PPT is must Behavioural competencies include: Good inter-personal skills with ability of efficiently co-ordinating with other departmental personnel Cautious approach with acceptance of zero leniency in work as well as attitude Should be a good team player Able to lead the team of technicians to independently run the shift operation Able to work in a dynamic environment with complex product mix Preferred Attributes: Result-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and ownership Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of Painting, from Hydraulic cylinder manufacturing Industry, knowledge of assembly process
