Automation engineer Key Responsibilities • Design, program, and commission automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs,Servo Motor & Drive, Robotics, Vision and motion control systems. • Should have worked with Pharma, Packaging Machinery or any Robotic Machinery • Should have knowledge for below products. Omron, Mitsubishi, Siemens PLC & Servo System Yaskawa or Fanuc Robot system Keyence, Cognex & Omron Vision system Omron, Mitsubishi, Weintek HMI Programming • Develop and implement automated processes for manufacturing, testing, and quality control. • Troubleshoot and resolve automation equipment issues to minimize downtime. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, design) to identify automation opportunities. • Create and maintain technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, user manuals, and operating procedures. • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and best practices. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement Industry 4.0/IIoT solutions where applicable. • Train operators and maintenance teams on automated equipment. Assist in the design of mechanical components for Robotic packaging systems & Special Purpose Machine Designs, including conveyors, grippers, frames, and safety guards. Create 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar software. Support senior engineers with prototyping, assembly, and testing of new designs. Update BOMs (Bill of Materials) and maintain proper documentation in the PDM system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, controls, and manufacturing. Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Assist in resolving technical issues during assembly and testing phases. Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and industry standards (e.g., CE, ISO).
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders. Set up tools, chucks, and workpieces on lathe machines (conventional or CNC). Perform operations such as facing, turning, threading, boring, tapering, and grooving. Ensure proper dimensions using measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Maintain tool sharpness and replace worn tools as necessary. Monitor machine operation and ensure part quality and production efficiency. Perform preventive maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting. Maintain a clean and safe working area in compliance with company safety norms. Record job data, production logs, and inspection results.
