Production Floor Supervisor (Food Technology)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure daily production targets are met within planned timelines.
• Maintain product quality standards as per SOPs & GMP.
• Monitor and reduce rejection/rework rates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GHP, and GMP guidelines.
• Maintain shift-level production data & daily reports.
• Ensure material availability and line readiness before shifts.
• Support in audits, inspections, and compliance requirements.
• Cross-department coordination – work closely with Housekeeping, RM/PM dispatch, QA, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth flow of materials and compliance.
• Allocate workers efficiently across machines/lines to maximize productivity.
• Verify that material usage (RM/PM) is correctly entered in the system/logbook and matches physical stock.
• Identify, escalate, and help resolve breakdowns, quality issues, or manpower problems quickly.

Experience:

• 1-5 Years of experience in supervising production operations in the Food Manufacturing, Nutraceuticals, or Pharmaceuticals industry.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising shift-level production,manpower allocation, and compliance monitoring.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong discipline, ownership, and attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience in implementing and monitoring GHP and GMP on the production floor.
• Excellent skills in manpower handling and problem-solving under pressure.

Good-to-Have:

• Certification in Three Sigma, Six Sigma.
• Preference for additional certifications such as HACCP, 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, Auditor’s training.
