Job Description

Job Summary:

The Production Engineer (Aerospace) is responsible for planning, optimizing, and supporting the manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production of aerospace components and assemblies. The role involves close collaboration with design, quality, and supply chain teams to meet production targets and aerospace regulatory standards (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development & Optimization
  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct time studies and root cause analyses to identify and eliminate production inefficiencies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Production Support
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production teams.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Tooling & Equipment
  • Design, develop, and validate jigs, fixtures, and tooling required for assembly and manufacturing.
  • Manage calibration and maintenance schedules for production equipment.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and production travelers in compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Participate in audits (internal, customer, and regulatory).
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Liaise with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability of new products (DFM/DFA).
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) from prototype to full-scale production.
  • Cost & Quality Control
  • Monitor production KPIs (yield, scrap rate, downtime) and drive improvements.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience:

  • 2–6 years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing (machining, composites, sheet metal, or assembly).
  • Experience with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001).
  • Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) and ERP/MRP systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
