Production Editor – Homes & Gardens India

Homes & Gardens is launching in India, and we need a meticulous Production Editor to keep everything running smoothly from draft to print. You’ll own the sub-editing process, ensuring copy is polished, accurate and on brand, while managing page flow and deadlines. With an eagle eye for detail, you’ll play a key role in shaping the quality and authority of the brand in its new market.

Key responsibilities

●      Sub-edit features, ensuring accuracy, grammar, clarity and adherence to brand tone

●      Flex into writing and commissioning where required, both for print and digital platforms.

●      Manage flatplans, production schedules and workflow across print and digital editions

●      Oversee page proofs from first draft through to final sign-off

●      Liaise with editorial and design teams to maintain consistency across layouts, captions and credits

●      Prepare and send pages to print, ensuring files meet technical requirements

●      Maintain style guides and editorial standards, updating them as the brand develops

●      Collaborate with global production teams to align on best practices and efficiencies

Essential experience

●      Proven background in production or sub-editing in a lifestyle, design or magazine environment

●      Exceptional command of English, with a sharp eye for detail and consistency

●      Experience managing flatplans, deadlines and page flow

●      Strong organisational and project management skills

●      Knowledge of print production processes and file management

●      Calm under pressure, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
