Job Title: Product Manager - UX & Experience Quality

About the Role

We're hiring a Product Manager focused on User Experience and Design Quality to own the holistic feel, flow, and usability of our product. As our first product hire dedicated to design-centered thinking, you'll bridge the gap between user pain and polished execution -- ensuring that both new and existing features are intuitive, consistent, and a delight to use.

You'll embed yourself deeply in user feedback (via Slack channels, surveys, interviews), spot patterns in frustration, shape requirements through a UX-first lens, and guide design POCs in Figma -- all while driving a dedicated backlog of quality-of-experience improvements.

This is not a traditional product delivery role -- it's a mission to make what we've already built (and are building next) feel 10x better.

What You'll Own

Experience & Design Quality Across the Product

Champion UI/UX as a first-class priority across internal tools, user-facing features, and support surfaces.

Audit existing features and design patterns for usability, layout, and visual polish issues -- then drive meaningful improvements.

Monitor customer feedback (support Slack, tickets, etc.) and proactively run surveys, interviews, and focus groups to uncover pain points.

Shaping New Features Through a UX Lens

Collaborate with fellow PMs to ensure new feature requirements reflect strong user experience thinking from the start.

Translate early ideas into Figma flows, mockups, and POCs that help align product and engineering before build begins.

Drive clarity on user journeys, edge cases, and design intent during sprint planning and delivery.

Own the language used across the product: error messages, s, tab names, tooltips, placeholders, and more.

Improve tone, clarity, and consistency of in-product communication to reduce confusion and build trust.

Maintain a backlog of design, UX, and polish improvements, prioritized based on user impact and effort.

Define and track metrics that reflect progress in user satisfaction, navigation success, or friction reduction.

What You'll Bring

Experience owning UX and design quality as part of a product or hybrid role, ideally in a fast-paced or resource-constrained environment.

Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and raise the bar without waiting for perfect conditions.

Comfort conducting user research, from surveys to direct interviews and usability testing.

Hands-on Figma skills -- not just reviewing designs, but actively proposing flows, wireframes, or layout ideas.

Exceptional written and verbal communication -- you'll be clarifying requirements, improving UI copy, and advocating for users across disciplines.
