Product Designer

Merkantis is building modern software for global manufacturing. We work with European and American hardware companies and Indian suppliers to replace slow, manual sourcing processes with simple, digital workflows.

We are looking for a Product Designer who can turn rough ideas into clear user flows and working prototypes. This is a contract role focused on fast problem solving, clean design and practical execution. Experience level does not matter. Mindset and output do.

What you will do

• Translate loose problem statements into structured user journeys and prototype screens.

• Design complete product surfaces including dashboards, internal tools and workflow screens.

• Use AI tools or your own workflows to speed up design and iteration.

• Produce high fidelity prototypes that engineering can take into development.

• Work directly with the founder on quick cycles to test and refine product direction.

• Identify gaps, propose solutions and improve clarity across the product.

What you should have

• A mindset focused on ownership, speed and clear thinking.

• Ability to solve problems from first principles and design clean, simple experiences.

• Comfort using modern design and prototyping tools including AI assisted tools.

• Evidence that you have built or designed products or prototypes in any form.

• Curiosity about manufacturing, supply chain or enterprise tools is a plus but not required.

You will be shaping the first versions of the tools that global hardware companies use to evaluate and adopt Merkantis. The workflows you design will directly influence how buyers and suppliers operate on our platform.
