BookMyShow is invested in providing the best user experience, whether on-ground or online and to that effect, has developed the first-of-its-kind video streaming platform solely for live entertainment in India - BookMyShow Online , marking its entry in the streaming business. Complementing its cinemas business, the firm also launched BookMyShow Stream , India s largest home-grown transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) platform hosting award-winning and critically acclaimed content from around the world.

About the design team

The design team at BMS is a tight-knit, high-performing individuals who have deeply imbibed the spirit of Agile as an attitude. We focus deeply on challenging our own assumptions by keeping an ear to the ground to better understand the ever-evolving landscape.

What you should bring to the table:

1. Relevant years of product design experience in product companies with a focus on B2C applications
2. Demonstrable UI/UX design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing consumer-facing products
3. Demonstrable understanding and expertise in designing micro interactions that enhance user delight and engagement
4. A process-driven approach to creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows and site maps
5. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma or other visual design tools. Motion design will be an added advantage.
6. Proficiency in rapid prototyping with attention to subtle animations and transitions
7. Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
8. Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
9. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
10. Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
11. Proficiency in creating and maintaining design systems through Figma Libraries, Components and Variables
12. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

What the work looks like:

1. Research, both qualitative and quantitative
2. Collaborating with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
3. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
4. Design delightful micro interactions that enhance the overall user experience and create memorable moments
5. Sharpening the design solution by sharing ideas early for feedback, being open to testing and making iterations
6. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
7. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
8. Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
9. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
10. Actively participate in maintaining and evolving the Design System
11. Document the process
12. Rinse and repeat
